How to work with Kimberly and William Fine Art Photography to create your family portrait

Creating your family portrait.

It starts with a call

Creating your custom family portrait starts with a phone call.  To create the best family portrait, we like to get to know our clients, about their family, and to understand how to best meet your needs.

Design Consultation

We believe that the best portraits come from a planned studio or location session.  We want to know about your family – ages of the children, family groupings, and even your pets!

We work with you create the best portrait and determine the best ways to display your commissioned art.  We will discuss our art products and explain the museum quality options and finishes.  We will discuss the sizing and placement of the art in your home and how the art works within your current interior design.

The final step in our Design Consultation is to prepare you for your portrait session including the all-important wardrobe coordination.  We will guide you every step of the way.

Your Studio Session

Our studio is on the second floor of the historic Honey Meal Bread Company building, first built in 1890.  We chose this building for its history and its sheer size.  With over 6,000 square feet of floor space to work with, we have the means to accommodate large families and have the breathing room to make our studio a comfortable place for you and your family, even your pets!  We have big windows and high ceilings and continuous hardwood floors.  Of course, parking is available right in front – it couldn’t be easier.

We make our sessions fun and interactive for everyone – and here is yet another place where our experience truly shows.  From the hammiest child to the shyest uncle, we have worked successfully with everyone.  We take the time to ensure that your session is a complete success.  Most sessions take an hour, but we reserve enough time in our schedule to assure we have the time we need.

Your Ordering Session

Typically we schedule your ordering session two weeks after your Studio Session.  You will return to the studio to view your images and we will guide you in selecting your art.  All decision makers should be present for this session as this is when we place your order!  Note that we can accommodate out of town family members by holding the Ordering Session the same day as the Studio Session with advance preparation, please inquire.

Art Delivery

Delivery times are dependent on each individual order and will vary.  Some clients pick up their orders here at the studio, but others have us assist in installation of the art in their homes.  We truly are here to help every step of the way, and nothing pleases us more than to see the finished art installed in your home.

An experience as remarkable as our art.
